Fit4Life project
Fit4Life is a 12 week weight management programme that aims to promote healthy eating and physical activity to achieve healthy weight loss. We will support and motivate participants to change their lifestyles to improve their health.
The programmes are run by qualified health and exercise experts to ensure the course can be tailored to you.
Disability sport
At Brimhams Active we believe everyone should have the chance to take part in sport, whatever their ability. That's why we're dedicated to improving access to sport and physical activity for all disabled people in the district.
Our wellbeing hubs
We have three wellbeing hubs across the district: two in Harrogate and one in Knaresborough. All our wellbeing hubs include main halls which we use to run a range of activities. You can also hire our wellbeing hubs if you want to arrange your own sport, fitness or health and wellbeing activity.

Classes and sessions available as part of the active lifestyles programme:
Run into new friends
The group gives people the opportunity to run together to improve their health, fitness, confidence and safety. All sessions are run by a qualified run in leadership fitness instructor through England athletics.
The group is aimed at newcomers or anyone who hasn't put their tracksuit and trainers on for a while. This is definitely not for more experienced runners and gives people the chance to take part in regular exercise without feeling as if they're left behind. The leader will help you get started by giving you sensible advice, support, encouragement and company while you run. Start today and contact us.

North Yorkshire Sport - I want to volunteer
Anyone can volunteer; all you need is passion and some available time (sometimes very little!)
People choose to volunteer for a variety of different reasons; it may be that you'd like an opportunity to give back to your community, make a difference in the lives of others, improve your CV by developing your skills or pay forward a good deed you received. It may be that you want to volunteer for one-off events, help to run a fundraising project, become a trustee or volunteer as a family.
Harrogate and District Community Action (hadca.org.uk) - I want to volunteer
HADCA helps people in the Harrogate district to find volunteering opportunities.
For information on volunteering please email sports.development@brimhamsactive.co.uk
Sports funding
If you have ideas about how to widen participation in sport, fitness or health and wellbeing activities by encouraging new members or improving facilities, we can help. We have a dedicated sports development team. It can offer advice, information or support. We can even help you access funding to pay for specific projects or activities. Take a look at our sports funding page for full details.
