The Learn to Swim programme operates across our five pools. It follows a scheme of work fully approved by Swim England, the governing body for swimming in the UK.
It was developed over 18 months, resulting in a curriculum for each level of ability which determines the criteria that our teachers focus on during swimming lessons.
Pupils will be continually assessed and moved through the scheme. They must be competent in all aspects of each ability level, including skill badges and distance awards.
